Spring is finally here!  Yes, it’s warm. Yes, it’s cool. Yes, it’s sunny. Yes, it’s rainy.  Welcome to St. Louis weather. With Spring, however, we also get MOREL MUSHROOMS!  As they are here for only a limited time every year, visit The Crossing soon so that you may enjoy them prepared as only The Crossing can.  We look forward to seeing you!

From MASHER: “The morel mushroom is a prized fungus for their unique structure and subtle earthy flavor. They come in a wide variety of colors and shapes, but one distinctive characteristic is the pitted outside of the mushroom — some say it resembles a honeycomb…unlike most mushrooms that you buy in the grocery store, even the fancy ones like portobello and oyster mushrooms, morels aren’t farmed…Instead, they’re gathered in the wild.”
